Calcium is the 4th imported element for a plant, and your plant want liquid Calcium a lot!
The Metrop Calgreen calcium fertilizer is a unique product. The basis of the product is Nitrogen and Calcium in a specific compound.
This compound is a building block for the plant cell walls, which results
in a more compact, heavier top.
Metrop Calgreen calcium fertilizer also provides 80% protection against
most molds and rot diseases.
Extra Calcium in the medium ensures that the ions of other nutritional
elements are released more easily from the colloidal particles and the
plant therefore has more nutritional building blocks
available.
Metrop Calgreen calcium fertilizer is produced from of
very high quality raw materials and can be mixed with any Metrop
fertilizer product.
With Metrop fertilizers MR1, MR2 and Calgreen, the grower has a top plant food line at hand which, in every medium sees to it that the plant builds up the largest possible root system and top for the highest possible yield.
If the soil is nutrient-rich, give this mixture 1 to 3 times a week. Give
daily if the soil is nutrient-poor or if you use hydroponic growth
methods.
Water every day as needed.
Be careful not to overdose.
Function: Calcium is a primary constituent of all cell walls and membranes. Restrictions in the availability of calcium will adversely affect cell division impair the structural stability and the permeability of cell walls. Increasing fruit calcium promotes longer storage life and resists a range of physiological break down conditions including water core, bittterpit and internal browning.
Description: Calgreen is a fully water soluble fluid emulsion product containing 22,5% calcium and a balanced range of micro elements. Calgreen is specifically formulated for use as a foliar fertiliser and can be applied to all fruit and vegetable crops to improve fruit firmness, storability, colour and skin finish.
Directions fur use: The spray tank should be filled with half of the required amount of water. After shaking the container, measure the required amount of Calgreen and add to the tank whilst maintaining constant agitation.Add remaining water to correct dilution. Spray.
Dilution: Recommended water rate is 500-1500 litres per hectare.
Always shake container before opening.
Tank Mixing Compatibility:
Calgreen is compatible with most, but not all, pesticides, growth regulators
and micronutrients with regard to physical tank mixing and biological effect
on the crop.
However, Metrop cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage as not
all pesticides have been tested and because the efficacy of any mix will
depend on, among other factors, the pesticide concerned, crop conditions,
growth stage, weather, and volumes of water used.
Precautions:
Calgreen should be stored in frost free conditions with optimum storage
range between 5-40 Cº.
Calgreen is a non-hazardous and non flammable folair fertiliser.
Gloves and face shield should be worn when handling the concentrate.
Packing:
Calgreen is available in HDPE drums of 0.25L, 1L, 5L, 10L
capacity. Drums are fitted with TE closures. 1000 Litre mini-bulk available.
After Stiksof, Phosphorus and Potassium, Calcium is the 4th most important fertilizer for a plant.
Lime in the medium brings a lot of food under the reach of the plants by displacing ions. In addition, the lime promotes the decomposition of organic substances, which also makes many nutrient elements available.
The yields of a harvest will therefore increase sharply after liming, but the
medium only appears to be more fertile. In reality, the medium becomes
impoverished because the plant absorbs more food.
By simply fertilizing more fertilizers, we eliminate this problem, resulting
in an even higher yield from the harvest.
Calcium is indispensable in the plant. It binds acids that would poison the
plant body, including the oxalic acid and calcium, together with protein, in
a certain compound in the cell wall.
If the plants do not contain enough
calcium, they form long, weak stems. The leaves are therefore limp and the
root system develops moderately.
However, for the build-up of Calcium and Protein in the plant cells, Boron is
needed that bricklays these elements into the cell walls like a
bricklayer.
However, the pH of the medium must then be lower than 6.2 because
otherwise Boron will not be absorbed or will be absorbed less.
Because Calcium Protein strengthens the plant cells with the help of Boron (becomes vitamin B12), this results in a stronger plant with less chance of fungus and rot formation and a heavier final yield.
